Washington’s Olympic National Park is one of the premier destinations for nature and landscape photography in the Pacific Northwest. The park’s 922,651 acres include three different ecosystems – glaciated mountain peaks, old-growth temperate rainforest and the rugged Pacific coast.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of Olympic National Park. President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the bill establishing the park on June 29, 1938. The natural beauty and environmental importance of the area is further recognized with the designations as World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve.
